The Miller Place Athletic Booster Club is devastated by the loss of a man who was not just our President, but one of a kind.

Matthew “Matt” LoNigro was indescribable. His laughter could brighten the darkest of days. His tenacity could break down the greatest of barriers. His dedication to our kids could outweigh any challenge he faced.

Matt was not just our President, but our guiding light. Matt dedicated so much of his time to making sure all of our kids had what they needed to succeed. From uniforms to facilities, Matt would work day and night to raise funds, secure items, and make sure our kids never knew the work that went into making it happen.

In everything Matt did, a lesson could be learned. He showed our kids how sports could teach life lessons, cheered our kids on regardless of how long he knew them, and was the perfect example of a good human for our kids to look up to.

We will miss Matt dearly and will carry him with us forever.
